Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
Day 01 – NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok(125 kms / 4.5-5 hrs)
After arrival meet & greet at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & transfer to Gangtok.. On arrival check-in to hotel. In evening you can visit local market or near by area (by own).. Overnight stay at Gangtok .
Day 02 – Full day Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion Trip, (Nathula Optional, Depend on Permit)
After breakfast drive to Tsomgo Lake (Alt 12000ft/3600M), a high altitude alpine lake close to Indo-China Border. Enjoy playing in snow and try Yak Ride and proceed further to Legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Back to Hotel. Night stay at Gangtok hotel.
Optional Tour to Nathula Pass (14000 ft/4200 M) on China Border can be arranged (except Monday, Tuesday) for Indians only with 30 days advance request at an additional cost. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
(In case of Land slide or any other reason Tshango Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing)
Day 03 – Gangtok Local Sightseeing
After Breakfast Proceed for Gangtok local Sightseeing Ganesh Tok, Enchey Monastery, Tashi View Point, Bakthang waterfalls, Nam Nang view point, Flower Show, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology & Do Drul Chorten (Stupa).etc Evening Free for leisure and Shopping (By Own)…Overnight stay at Gangtok..
Day 04 – Gangtok – Kalimpong(85 kms / 3.5-4 hrs)
After breakfast check out from hotel & proceed for Kalimpong.. Check in & rest. In the evening you can visit local market or nearby area (at your own). Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 – Kalimpong Local + Darjeeling(65 kms / 3-3.5 hrs)
After Breakfast enjoy tour of Kalimpong Visiting Mangal Dham, Deolo Hill, Dr. Graham’s Home & Pine View Nursery etc. Then transfer to Darjeeling. Overnight Stay at Darjeeling.
Day 06 – Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early Morning (at 04.00 am) visit Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. worlds third highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop.After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P. N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed),Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre , Tea Garden, Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple. Overnight stay at Darjeeling..
Day 07 – Departure from Darjeeling + Toy Train(Optional)
This morning if Time Permit you can Enjoy the Himalayan Heritage Joy Ride (Ticket by Own)..after B/Fast leisure time free for packing and personal activity, Transfer to Bagdogra airport / Njp Railway station & proceed journey with sweet memory of North East along with Yuti Holidays…
